The B vitamins it contains are very sensitive to heat. Therefore, molasses yeast flakes must not be cooked, but only added to finished dishes.

This is how Naturata yeast flakes are made

The breeding ground for the reproduction of yeast consists of beet molasses. Mineral salts and vitamin supplements are added to the beet molasses to ensure optimal yeast growth. The resulting “yeast cream” is gently dried. Heated rotating rollers are wetted with yeast cream. The heat causes the yeast cells to open and the yeast cell water evaporates. Due to the heat of evaporation removed, the yeast is exposed to temperatures of almost 100 °C for just a few seconds. This means that the yeast ingredients are hardly affected. The yeast flakes are dried within one revolution of the roller. They are continuously scraped off by the roller.

Packaging

Packed plastic-free in a coated paper bag. The inner film is an environmentally friendly Natureflex film. This is based on wood and is biodegradable.
