The Greek mountain herbal tea has a slightly spicy, pleasant, aromatic taste. In the Northern Greek Mountains-based Fleabane of "Sideritis Scardica" where it is harvested for generations, and tea poured. Traditionally, the tea is said to have a tonic effect.

Details
For the mountain tea, the entire upper is processed underground Plant, i.e. leaves, flowers and stems. Appearance and smell of the Plant is strongly reminiscent of sage, the taste of the tea, however, is not to be compared to.
Preparation
Traditionally, the mountain tea is boiled in a pot. To do this, enter the litres of water approx. 3g mountain tea (one heaped tablespoon) into the water and let it simmer for 10 minutes. For a somewhat weaker variant, you can pour over the herb with boiling water and let stand for 10 minutes.
The tea tastes great hot or cold as iced tea.
Also, the preparation with a little cinnamon and lemon juice in some regions of Greece are common.
